Tool & Mold Die Maker
Role is on-site in Camarillo.
Pay range: $33-45/hr DOE

SUMMARY:
The Tool & Mold Maker works from CAD generated models and blueprints to create or modify prototypes, tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds. Builds and repairs custom machine mold tools using machining equipment and measuring instruments. Operates lathes, grinders, milling, and vertical machining center to produce tools. Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under minimal guidance from supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associate's Degree or its equivalent preferred. Completion of apprenticeship or trade school certification preferred.
2. 5+ years’ related experience as a Tool & Mold/Die Maker.
3. Must be proficient with Computer Aid Drafting (CAD) / Computer Aid Machining CAM). MasterCAM software experience preferred.
4. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of, press controls, dies and tooling.
5. Must have strong math skills.
6. In-depth knowledge of machine tools and their uses.
7. Ability to visualize and compute shapes and tolerances.
8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
9. Prior experience on using hot runner and valve gate systems is a plus.
10. Ability to prioritize and write up a work plan.
11. Works well either independently or as part of a team.
12. Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
13. Basic Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) skills.
14. Must have own basic tools
