AVASO Technology Solutions is seeking a meticulous and technically skilled Stock Controller to join our team in Norcross, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, a strong understanding of stock control systems, and exceptional attention to detail. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory, supporting us in meeting client needs and optimizing our supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Operations:
- Receive incoming shipments of goods, materials, and supplies by established procedures and documentation.
- Inspect received items for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to resolve discrepancies, damages, or delivery delays.
Dispatching Operations:
- Prepare orders for dispatch by picking, packing, and labelling items accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
- Generate shipping documentation, such as bills of lading and export paperwork, and maintain records of outbound shipments.
Stock Control:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems, including stock levels, locations, and movements.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and overstock situations, optimizing inventory turnover.
Quality Assurance:
- Could you collaborate with quality control and inspection teams to ensure that received and dispatched items meet quality standards and specifications?
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming or damaged goods and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
- Document quality issues and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders for resolution.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management, is a plus.
- Proven experience in stock control, receiving, dispatching, or warehouse operations, preferably in a similar industry or environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
