My client is a $B Software Vendor in the Security / Service Assurance space and works with some of the largest Enterprises, Government agencies and Service Providers Globally, they are a Gartner Magic Quadrant leader with 2500 staff and offices around the world.
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales quota in assigned territory through direct sales to enterprise customers. This role controls the accounts directly even if the business is booked through channels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop territory plan with identified F1000 targets in assigned territory
Develops a pipeline of 4X quota and is constantly prospecting in new or existing accounts
Consistently calls at multiple levels high and wide in accounts
Works collaboratively with Sales Engineers to ensure ongoing account technical support.
Candidate will need to be based in the Chicago region.
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years sales experience in computer networking, NPM, APM
- 6+ years’ experience selling into IT / Data Centers
- quantifiable track record of success demonstrated by territory / professional growth
- solid, articulate understanding of our technology, market, and client profile
- record of exceptional and consistent quota achievement
- success, established customers and contacts, and solid territory knowledge
- will need the skill to independently, work with large, complex accounts
- to source, pursue and close new business
