Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Drive structural design and engineering initiatives across Tennessee, ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects.
- Business Development: Play a key role in securing new clients and projects, collaborating on proposals, and contributing to marketing strategies.
- Expertise: Provide senior-level structural expertise on all project aspects, from conceptual design to construction administration, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Project Management: Serve as the Project/Program Manager for various structure-related projects, overseeing contractual obligations, staff, and sub-consultants.
- Technical Excellence: Produce detailed construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates while executing rigorous QA/QC for design accuracy.
- Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Experience: 12+ years of bridge design experience with a strong background in state and municipal projects.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Tennessee or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, particularly in proposal development and client interaction.
- Preferred: Experience with Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) and local municipalities.
