Job Title: Technical Service Representative

Reports To: Technical Services Manager

Essential Functions:
- Reviews aircraft fleet performance and works with maintenance control to address critical MEL items and operational impact items.
- Maintains Aircraft performance monitoring and system reporting i.e., Engine Condition Monitoring, ACARS, Mini QAR reporting and updates.
- Updates all departments for monthly performance and power plant operations concerns.
- Participates in the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with the responsibilities detailed in the Safety Management System Manual
- Helps and works with company and contract maintenance personnel in troubleshooting aircraft and systems ensuring airworthiness in accordance with company maintenance manuals and procedures.
- Assists flight crews with troubleshooting of problems.
- Retrieving technical information from aircraft manuals, company manuals, and other approved resources in order to troubleshoot, repair, and identify parts.
- Coordinates Service Bulletin implementation and work card review with Quality Control.
- Coordinates repairs and troubleshooting with company and contract maintenance personnel.
- Provides updates for Aircraft modifications to all departments.
- Coordinates the Troubleshooting of Deferred Maintenance Items that are chronic or repeat.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility: Technicians and other maintenance department employees.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Power plant rating.
- Have at least three years maintenance experience on different types of transport category aircraft with an air carrier.
- Must have at least a high school diploma
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
- Prefer 5 plus years’ experience on same type aircraft operated by National Airlines (Boeing 747, 757, and Airbus 330)
- Prefer 5 plus years Maintenance Control experience and/or Aircraft Maintenance Supervisory experience with an air carrier operating same type aircraft operated by National Airlines.
- Must complete initial SMS Training and recurrent SMS Training. Specific requirements are detailed in the Safety Management System Manual.
- Analytical skills and good judgment / decision making.
- Excellent written and verbal skills required.
- Must be able to use/learn Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel at a basic level.
- Must be able to learn new computer software programs related to maintenance, aircraft records and inventory.
Certificates/Licenses:
Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Power plant rating.
Physical Demands:
Extended periods at workstation with aircraft, may be required to travel to work aircraft AOG situation.
Work Environment:
Generally quiet, and in an office setting but it can be in much more challenging settings (see Physical Demands section above).
Travel/Other Requirements:
Must be able to travel for maintenance activities and/or aircraft familiarization and troubleshooting.
