About the Role
PsychPlus is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to spearhead the launch, growth, and management of our new Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offering. This role will focus on building relationships with employer groups, insurance providers, and other strategic partners to expand our reach into the corporate space. You will be responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market strategy, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the success of the EAP initiative within PsychPlus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end business development efforts for PsychPlus's EAP services, from initial market research to client acquisition and partnership management.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy targeting employers, HR leaders, benefits managers, and insurance providers to offer PsychPlus's EAP services.
- Identify and engage new business opportunities with a focus on expanding the EAP into small, medium, and large organizations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, industry influencers, and key decision-makers within target companies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, operations, and clinical) to align the EAP offering with market needs and ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Manage the sales pipeline, track progress, and achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and competitors to keep the EAP offering competitive and aligned with the needs of employer groups.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote PsychPlus’s EAP services.
Qualifications:
- Required: Existing relationship with decision makers at employer groups, insurance providers, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in healthcare, mental health services, employee benefits, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in selling or managing Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) or similar corporate benefit solutions.
- Strong understanding of the mental health industry, particularly in the area of EAPs and corporate wellness programs.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence C-level executives and decision-makers.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, sales tools, and performance tracking software.

Additional Information
The expected base pay for this role will be between $80,000 - $100,000 at the commencement of employment, paid in USD. However, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and years of experience. Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Psychplus Health-sponsored benefits.
