Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage laboratory personnel duties in collaboration with the laboratory director.
- Conduct bi-annual reviews of procedure manuals and monthly quality control assessments.
- Ensure the quality and appropriateness of patient care in conjunction with the Medical Director of the Laboratory.
- Oversee personnel and financial management, and contribute to the strategic planning of the Laboratory and Pathology Departments.
- Maintain positive relations with medical staff and develop interdepartmental collaboration.
- Stay updated on advances in Laboratory and Pathology medicine through continuous learning and attending relevant seminars.
Qualifications:
- MS with four years’ experience, BA/BS with six years’ experience, or HEW certification with ten years’ experience.
- Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
- Proven track record of professional excellence, characterized by sound independent judgment, reliability, initiative, flexibility, and a high standard of ethics.
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, principles, instruments, and their interrelationships.
- Management training or classes are desirable.
