Client New Mexico Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center The New Mexico VA Healthcare System (NMVAHCS), located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is part of VA Desert Pacific Network (VISN22), comprised of eight health care system and 65 community clinics serving 1.5 million veterans in Arizona, New Mexico and Southern California which includes facilities in California, Nevada, and Hawaii.
POSITION OVERVIEW (duties include but are not limited to) As a care giver and clinician educator, you should have outstanding interventional radiology skills combined with a passion for teaching and scholarship. Previous post-training academic experience and a history of publication in peer-reviewed radiology journals is preferred. This position includes both inpatient and outpatient activity and the opportunity to teach learners at all levels (students, residents, and fellows). You will spend most of your time in direct patient care and the supervision of medical residents and radiology fellows in inpatient/outpatient settings. 2-5 years of experience preferred but all levels of experience are encouraged to apply. Broad experience in Interventional Radiology with a focus in Interventional Oncology and advanced liver interventions is desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS - Must be Board Certified/Eligible in Radiology and Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or (AOBR).
- Must have current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) as certified by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Must have current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number and National Practitioner Identifier (NPI).
