We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to assist in the documentation and creation of standard solution patterns, platforms, and technology architecture decisions. This role will collaborate closely with enterprise architects, the AI and Data Analytics (AIDA) development organization, and infrastructure/security teams to support the migration of legacy applications to the cloud and the development of new AI and data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Document standard solution patterns and IT components under the guidance of EA colleagues, with a focus on security, infrastructure, data, and AI solutions.
- Create and document standard platform patterns for use by the AIDA organization in solution and application development, ensuring reusability and consistency.
- Assist in documenting architecture decisions and best practices for cloud hosting, covering services across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Work with the EA team to provide a self-service playbook or framework for cloud hosting decisions and qualified service matrices (Red/Yellow/Green classifications).
- Contribute to the documentation of vendor assessments, identifying key questions and evaluation criteria for future IT component assessments.
Specific Tasks:
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, AIDA teams, and the EP&S team to create shared EA artifacts in standard formats.
- Actively participate in achieving EA goals, ensuring alignment with second-half 2024 objectives.
- Contribute to the creation of a data collection/disposition framework and the reuse of standard patterns within the PPM tool.
- Share industry best practices for ETL, data platforms, AI/Client pipelines, and cloud services.
- Draw up architecture or technical design diagrams as needed for documentation purposes.
Key Deliverables:
- Documented standard solution patterns for each business tower (R&D, Commercial, Manufacturing, Enabling Functions).
- Standard platform patterns for the AIDA organization.
- Architecture decisions and vendor assessment templates for future use.
- Contribution to a self-service framework/playbook for cloud hosting and qualified service matrices.
Top 3 Requirements:
1. Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data platforms (Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.), and expertise in ETL, data cataloging, and data visualization.
2. Strong technical writing and architecture documentation skills, with experience creating and documenting architecture diagrams and technical design decisions.
3. Experience with AI/ML pipelines and large language models (LLM), with knowledge of Azure OpenAI or AWS Bedrock being highly desirable.
