A healthcare organization in New York is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their team in Westchester County as a Clinical Category Manager. In this role, the Clinical Category Manager will be responsible for the contracting and vendor management from the item to the relationship level.
Responsibilities:
The Clinical Category Manager will:
- Analyze business needs and ensure that functional and technical requirements are documented
- Develop communication strategy and establish communication plan
- Perform necessary investigations, analyses, and evaluations to determine feasibility.
- Prepare routine department status reports
- Provide regular department status information to team members, including attending required meetings and following-up on action items
- Ensure adherence to protocols, procedures, and project plans
- Establish departmental goals and measurements of success
- Ensurs each project deliverable has clear completion criteria and acceptance plan
- Maintain all relevant documentation and communications
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
- Knowledge associated with the professional field of Strategic Sourcing, Project Management, systems, and procedures.
- Experience in the creation of RFP/RFI documents, driving the solicitation process, with appropriate documentation of processes and decisions
- Experience in contracting, vendor management, analysis creation, cross department consensus building
- Computer savvy
- Experience with Contract Management and GHX/EDI Inventory Management Software
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Solid critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
