Job Summary
An Electrical Designer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization in the northeastern Atlanta metro area (Loganville). The Electrical Designer is responsible for creating electrical schematics and panel layouts, selecting components, and evaluating designs for manufacturing feasibility, cost, and operation. This role involves ensuring designs meet project specifications, preparing detailed documentation, and supporting project meetings.
Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of related experience, preferably in an OEM or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical 3D or AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office, and knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, UL, CSA) are highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Create electrical schematics and panel layouts to meet project specifications
- Perform calculations for electrical components such as fuses, starters, and conductors
- Prepare bill of materials, installation instructions, and maintenance manuals
- Evaluate engineering change requests and update drawings and bills of material as needed
- Participate in project kick-off and status meetings, resolving issues promptly
- Identify and suggest improvements to project delivery procedures
