This opportunity is for a Senior office-based Surveyor to lead the survey department of a reputable Engineering firm in to a new era as they further diversify in to the renewable energy industry. This role has uncapped growth potential.
As specialists in staking, boundary/topographic, and drone survey projects, utilizing cutting-edge technology to redefine industry standards across a variety of industry sectors, the Senior Surveyor will take charge of the day-to-day operations.
As the Lead Surveyor, you'll be at the forefront of managing and coordinating survey projects. Your leadership will guide the survey department with excellence and precision.
Key Responsibilities of the postholder:
- Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and project coordination.
- Project Management: Prepare and process various survey documents including lot line adjustments, parcel maps, and condominium plans.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize your expertise in 3D mapping and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D to drive innovation and efficiency in surveying processes.
- Team Leadership: Direct and supervise survey crews, ensuring adherence to field and office standards while providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Community Engagement: Represent the organization at project meetings and public hearings, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications to ensure success:
- Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying plus 4+ years.
- Certification: Licensed Land Surveyor in California or LSIT ready to take LS exam.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with a strong grasp of surveying standards and procedures.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
