Immigration Legal Assistant (Bilingual) - Full-Time

Dumé Law Group is a boutique immigration law firm located in West New York, New Jersey, dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive legal services to our clients. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant to join our growing team.
About the Role:
We are looking for a full-time Legal Assistant who is fluent in both English and Spanish. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in immigration law, is a strong team player, and is eager to grow within the firm. This position offers an excellent opportunity to advance to a paralegal role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare family-based immigration petitions and applications, including I-130 and I-360 petitions.
- Assist in preparing asylum applications, withholding of removal applications, and cancellation of removal applications with supporting evidence for EOIR submissions.
- Draft motions, including motions to change venue and motions for continuance.
- Prepare and manage Family Court motions.
- Manage the supervising attorney’s calendar and assist with scheduling.
- Provide general support to attorneys and the legal team in case preparation and file management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an immigration paralegal or legal assistant (preferred).
- Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
