Margaritaville at Sea is seeking a dynamic Shipboard Technology Manager to play a critical role in supporting the on-board IT teams in delivering our guest experience, maintaining operations, and driving continuous improvement.
What you get to do:
- Evaluate and monitor status of all fleet systems on an ongoing basis
- Maintain relationships with and manage key vendors in the quality delivery of their solutions
- Serve as point of escalation for support incidents as necessary
- Manage communication across business teams on impact and status of issues and shipboard initiatives
- Instrumental role in the planning and execution of fleet IT projects and deployments
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulation, defined architecture/standards and company policies
- Participate in the recruitment, scheduling and development of shipboard IT team members
What it takes to succeed:
- College degree in Information Technology or a related area of study
- 5+ years of industry experience, at least 2 of which in a leadership role
- Familiarity with Project Management methodologies
- Experience in managing R&M and other expense budgets
- Ability to prioritize and mange time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel extensively
What else is important:
Shipboard cruise experience preferred
- Experience working in a start-up environment
- Professional demeanor and able to interact with executive level staff
