Sr. Systems Engineer (Onsite in Coppell, TX)

Our growing team near DFW airport is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer that is seeking a career and amazing benefits. Qualified candidates will have strong enterprise level VMWare/storage and data center expertise. Additionally, this role will require working onsite daily with an amazing team.
Overview:
Perform daily management, monitoring and administration of Windows Servers, Linux/Unix systems and various infrastructure technologies.
Provision and deploy physical and virtual systems according to defined best practices in both physical Data Centers and AWS.
Strong knowledge of VMware and storage procedures.
Maintain infrastructure components through regular security patches and version upgrades.
Partner with the software architecture organization to evaluate and deploy technologies that best meet the needs of the business.
Automate systems monitoring tasks using standard monitoring tools.
Author internal documentation, such as environment diagrams, installation/configuration documents and release notes.
Evaluate and enforce pre-production operational readiness to ensure predictable stability in production deployments.
What you’ll need:
8+ years of experience working with common operating systems such as Windows Server OS or Linux systems in a high-volume enterprise environment.
Senior level working knowledge of VMware and storage arrays.
Working knowledge of Cloud enterprise environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Working understanding of network concepts and the ability to troubleshoot end to end connectivity
Experience implementing and owning best practices for managing and monitoring server systems.
Expert with Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management, & TCP/IP)
Strong experience implementing health monitoring of systems and integrate with an enterprise monitoring platform
