Prominent industry leader in the production of high-quality towel, bath tissue and hand care products in the “Away From Home” in the NYC metro area is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Fibers to help insure for a safe and efficient operation of the fiber function withing the Fiber Operations Department
Knowledge of Fiber Operations including chemistry, de-inking and bleaching processes are a must
Key Responsibilities include:
· Lead and manage the fiber operations team, fostering teamwork and professional development.
· Develop and manage the annual fiber budget, monitoring expenditures and reporting variances.
· Develop and execute fiber strategies that maximize productivity, minimize waste, and reduce operating costs.
· Ensure alignment with sales and distribution teams to meet customer service commitments.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance KPIs and overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications include:
· Strong understanding of fiber operations, including chemistry, de-inking, and bleaching processes.
· Proven ability to lead and inspire teams in a cooperative and motivational manner.
· Practical time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and challenging deadlines.
· B.S. degree in engineering or a related field.
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pulp & paper industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
· De-ink experience preferred
