Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a legal assistant/paralegal with at least one year experience working in Plaintiff's personal injury litigation. The firm seeks Front Desk Receptionist - Deposition Paralegal.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones, receive visitors, manage front desk
- Manage deposition calendar: diary EBTs and hearings, notify clients, confirm depositions and arrange for court reporters; responsible for post-deposition follow up for exhibits, scan transcripts, and prepare post-EBT demands;
- Work on files as assigned: request medical records, track and follow up, prepare and serve authorizations per court orders, communicate with clients as needed for information and documents;
- Transcription of assigned documents
Requirements:
- College degree or paralegal certificate;
- At least one years’ experience in plaintiff’s personal injury litigation;
- Excellent computer skills, knowledge WordPerfect; Word; Outlook; Experience with transcription software; Cloudlex a plus; bilingual Spanish a plus
- Notary Public or willing to become notary public;
*This is a small congenial office. Candidate must be punctual, pleasant and reliable, pay attention to detail and able to work independently.
