As a Senior Platform Engineer (DevSecOps), you will be an integral member of the Platform Engineering team, helping the organization transform into a truly modern cloud-native mode of operation. The goal of the Platform Engineering team is to reduce friction in the delivery process and improve developer experience.
The Senior Platform Engineer will be expected to provide guidance on DevOps practices and tools and Azure cloud resources.
Responsibilities:
- Apply a proactive approach toward tasks and communication. Embrace and evangelize automation, infrastructure as code, policy as code, and developer enablement
- Lead technical implementations leveraging the team architect
- Drive forensic troubleshooting and analysis of automation and platform consistency issues
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of system, resource, and infrastructure availability and performance optimization
- Evangelize cloud-native practices and methodologies to delivery teams
- Provide subject matter expertise for all aspects of technology stack -
- Infrastructure Automation via Terraform
- Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Kubernetes / AKS / EKS
- CI/CD Patterns
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, SRE, Cloud-Native Engineering, or DevOps Engineering role
- Expertise with containers and Kubernetes
- Expertise with container security and Kubernetes security. Experience with opensource security tools
- Experience remediating security vulnerabilities and responding to CVE reported issues
- Expertise in writing IaC and CaC techniques
- Expertise in managing multiple code bases in Git, including trunk-based and environment-based branching
- Expertise in creating Continuous Integration builds and deployment automation, for example, CI/CD Pipelines
- Expertise in building and supporting Cloud Native applications in a major public cloud
- Expertise in implementing observability, application monitoring, and log aggregation solutions
- Expertise working with cross-functional teams to provide Next-Gen Cloud Native solutions
