A recognized healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physician to join their staff as their newChief of Hematology Oncology.

Responsibilities:TheChief of Hematology Oncology will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and treating patients with hematological and oncological conditions
- Providingdirect patient care and often overseeing complex cases, ensuring that patients receive the most appropriate and up-to-date treatments available
- Engaging in clinical research and participating in clinical trials to advance the understanding of hematological and oncological conditions and to explore new treatment options
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hematology and oncology department, which includes managing clinical staff, nurses, and support personnel
- Managing the department's budget, including allocating resources for staffing, equipment, research, and other needs
- Implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
- Developing and executing strategic plans for the department's growth and development, including expanding services, acquiring advanced technologies, and enhancing patient access
- Supervising and mentoring medical residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in the field of hematology and oncology
- Pursuing grant opportunities and securing funding for research projects within the department
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice in the State of New York
- Board Eligible / Certified
- Academic residency or fellowship and worked in academics
- Experience inBone Marrow Biopsies
