Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations within the production facility, focusing on non-woven textiles and carding processes. This role involves managing production teams, ensuring quality standards, and optimizing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with non-woven textiles and carding machinery, alongside strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Production Oversight: Monitor and control daily production activities, including setup, operation, and maintenance of non-woven and carding equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain product consistency and meet customer specifications. Conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly.
- Process Optimization: Analyze production data and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safe working environment and address any potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with procurement and supply chain teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular production reports, including performance metrics, equipment status, and any operational issues. Communicate effectively with management and other departments.
- Problem Resolution: Quickly address and resolve production-related issues, including equipment malfunctions, personnel conflicts, and quality deviations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in textiles, ideally with a strong focus on non-woven and carding processes. Leadership or production supervision experience is preferred, but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and maintaining non-woven and carding machinery. Familiarity with industry-standard production techniques and quality control practices.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production challenges.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in textile engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in textile production or safety management are a plus.
