Brunel is looking to hire a University Relations Coordinator to work with a major O&G company in Houston, TX on a long term contract.
Job Description:
- Lead recruitment efforts with campus teams to attract high-quality new grads and intern candidates, aligned with target university tiers.
- Maintain historical data on new hires, interns, and co-ops, and produce metrics reports for the Talent Acquisition Group's monthly/quarterly reports.
- Develop university relations to enhance on-campus presence, serving as a liaison to department heads and fostering relationships with professional/student organizations.
- Ensure compliance with Affirmative Action plans in all staffing activities.
- Plan and manage the summer intern program, including:
- Onboarding interns and assigning summer projects.
- Identifying mentors for each intern.
- Coordinating field trips, tours, and poster presentations.
- Leading intern evaluations and facilitating full-time job offers before their return to university.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience, with at least 2 years in university recruitment preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables and formulas), and PowerPoint.
- Strong diplomacy and interpersonal skills with a pleasant demeanor.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both functional and line management.
- Strong organizational skills and experience with Microsoft Teams.
- General experience with employee policies and benefits administration.
