We’re exclusively partnered with one of the Bay Area's Satellite companies, where you will play a critical role in driving cloud infrastructure and operations to support brand-new Satellite technology and constellations
Cloud Operations Engineer Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS to support satellite mission-critical applications.
- Automate infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and management using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CLI.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of satellite communication systems by implementing best practices in AWS architecture.
- Collaborate with the development and engineering teams to integrate cloud services with on-premise systems and ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor and optimize cloud costs while ensuring that performance meets or exceeds SLA requirements.
- Manage incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for cloud-based systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS technologies and recommend improvements to the cloud architecture.
Cloud Operations Engineer Requirements:
- Extensive experience in managing and automating AWS cloud environments, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM roles, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
- Solid knowledge of networking concepts, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing in cloud environments.
- Proven track record of managing high-availability systems and performing disaster recovery in AWS.
