The payroll Specialist is responsible for all areas of Certified Payroll. This will include preparing reports, collecting data and overseeing all activities for company employee payments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of payroll in SAGE 300 software.
- Prepare and maintain all certified payroll reports.
- Review timecards for accuracy and reconcile variances.
- Monitor Payroll Inbox for all Certified Payroll correspondence.
- Support Payroll and Benefits as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Construction industry experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and particularly Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Foundational knowledge of Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, including prevailing wage determinations, certified payroll requirements, and compliance reporting.
