Key Responsibilities:
1. Solution Architecture:
o Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions within the GovCloud environment to meet the specific needs of government clients or agencies.
o Ensure alignment of Salesforce solutions with compliance requirements such as FedRAMP, FISMA, ITAR, and other government security standards.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
2. Platform Development & Integration:
o Lead the configuration and customization of Salesforce in the GovCloud environment, including workflows, custom objects, and reports.
o Integrate Salesforce with external systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and secure APIs.
o Develop strategies for data migration, storage, and backup in compliance with government standards.
3. Security & Compliance:
o Ensure that all Salesforce implementations comply with government regulations related to data security, privacy, and governance.
o Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability testing within the Salesforce GovCloud platform.
o Implement access controls, encryption, and secure authentication mechanisms to protect sensitive government data.
4. Collaboration & Leadership:
o Work closely with DevOps, IT security teams, and government stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment and ongoing support of Salesforce solutions.
o Guide and mentor junior developers and engineers on best practices within the Salesforce GovCloud environment.
o Provide technical leadership and consult on new projects and system enhancements.
5. Documentation & Support:
o Create and maintain detailed documentation on system architecture, configuration, integrations, and security protocols.
o Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for Salesforce GovCloud solutions.
o Ensure system performance is optimized and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
o Deep knowledge of Salesforce architecture, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud.
o Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce development tools.
o Experience with integrating Salesforce with third-party applications using REST, SOAP, and other API technologies.
o Strong understanding of GovCloud security and compliance frameworks like FedRAMP, FISMA, and ITAR.
Compliance & Security:
o Experience working within regulated environments with a focus on government compliance.
o Knowledge of encryption, secure data transmission, and access controls within the Salesforce platform.
Communication & Leadership:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when dealing with government stakeholders.
o Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts into business solutions.
Preferred Experience:
Salesforce Architect certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Salesforce
Certified Application Architect).
Experience with government clients or agencies.
Understanding of cloud technologies like AWS or Azure as they relate to GovCloud
implementations.
