Job Title : Senior Database Administrator
Job Location: REMOTE
Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to oversee and manage our global database platforms, primarily focusing on SQL and Oracle databases.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in defining and implementing database strategies, managing database operations, and ensuring the highest standards of database performance, reliability, and security.
This role will be instrumental in planning version upgrades, developing global standards, and ensuring compliance with IT General Controls (ITGC) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in database administration, with a focus on SQL and Oracle databases.
- Strong expertise in database performance tuning, optimization, backup, recovery, and security.
- Experience with IT General Controls (ITGC) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
- Proven track record in planning and executing database version upgrades and migrations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience in managing databases in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Certified Professional) are highly desirable.
