Are you a skilled Corporate Controls Engineer with a passion for pre-production planning and process optimization? A dynamic company is looking for a talented individual to join their team in Redford, MI! If you have a knack for automation, robotics, and sensor integration, and are ready to take on a leading role in a growing organization, this opportunity might be perfect for you.
About the Role: As a Corporate Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for managing automation projects across multiple plants in the U.S., focusing on pre-production projects and collaborating with integrators. You will play a crucial role in developing RFQs and equipment specifications for capital and tooling requirements, overseeing production processes, and ensuring successful project implementation from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pre-production planning and project implementation for new and existing product lines.
- Collaborate with vendors and integrators, particularly in automation and capital equipment.
- Optimize and plan production processes, including work cell layout, ergonomic workstation design, and line balancing.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and ensure all projects meet established timelines and standards.
- Focus on sensor integration and process optimization for tire and wheel lines.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 3+ years in pre-production planning and process optimization within a plant setting. Tire and wheel experience is a plus, but not required.
- Skills: Strong background in sensor integration, automation, and robotics. Familiarity with planning rather than just maintenance of day-to-day operations.
- Mindset: Ability to hit the ground running, take initiative, and lead projects through unfamiliar territories.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary plus a 5% annual bonus.
- Opportunity for straight overtime after 45 hours!
- Hybrid work schedule with flexibility for travel (local Midwest travel required for project implementations).
