Overview:
Our client in the banking sector is seeking a skilled Solarwinds DPA / SQL Sentry Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance their systems infrastructure. This role is critical for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of the software and hardware that support customer sales and service applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, automating, and continuously improving infrastructure, as well as monitoring system performance to proactively address and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Solarwinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA) and SQL Sentry to support critical banking applications.
- Install, automate, and enhance infrastructure components to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.
- Conduct comprehensive monitoring of system performance, identifying potential issues and implementing tuning measures to maintain optimal functionality.
- Respond to and resolve technical failures and issues, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to SLAs.
- Collaborate with vendors, IT associates, and management to drive effective solutions and continuous system improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging tools and technologies relevant to system administration.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced team members and potentially manage specific technical projects within the infrastructure domain.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Solarwinds DPA and SQL Sentry in a systems engineering or administration role.
- Strong background in automation tools and techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of database performance tuning and monitoring.
- Experience in managing, supporting, and troubleshooting mission-critical IT infrastructure in a banking or financial services environment.
