Our client is seeking a highly experienced International Arbitration Partner to join their Miami office. Their International Arbitration practice group is renowned for representing both private and public entities in high-profile and complex cross-border disputes. As a partner, you will lead efforts to resolve some of the most challenging disputes worldwide, leveraging their multicultural and multilingual team's collective expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage international arbitration cases, representing clients in both commercial and investment treaty disputes.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies, from pre-arbitration settlement negotiations through to post-award enforcement proceedings.
- Serve as an advocate, arbitrator, or neutral in alternative dispute resolution processes, including dispute review board proceedings.
- Engage with major arbitral institutions, contributing to the development of arbitration rules and practices.
- Represent clients across diverse jurisdictions, including Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America, in multi-million-dollar disputes.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in international arbitration, with a strong track record of handling complex cross-border disputes.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Proven experience in both advocacy and arbitration, with a deep understanding of litigation strategies and enforcement proceedings.
- Substantial knowledge of international arbitration rules, including ICSID, ICC, IACAC/CIAC, AAA/ICDR, and UNCITRAL.
- A strong professional network within major arbitral institutions and the global arbitration community.
