Our client has engaged our assistance with their search for an EHS Manager. You will be Responsible for deploying, implementing, and leading the EHS agenda by supporting the Management team with integration of Safety and Environmental, prevention, workers' compensation, and regulatory compliance into everyday work life responsibility, to analyze accident data, develop and implement actionable safety and environmental solutions.
Responsibilities for this role include:
Implement, execute, and ensure compliance with company EHS policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local OSHA/EPA regulations.
Employee safety training (in class or determine best vendor to use), new hire training and any other applicable training required.
Document all incident reports reported by supervisors including near-miss incidents and accident investigations to develop solutions that prevent or minimize reoccurrence. Corrective actions shall be tracked appropriately.
Identify safety hazards and implement solutions and work with supervision to rectify.
Ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment is available.
Ensure environmental requirements are followed and train workers accordingly per standards.
Manage the company hazard communication program including maintaining the SDS’ on chemicals used in the facility and ensure that a chemical inventory is completed every 2 years for the facility.
Oversees/Chair the safety committee.
Help assist HR in carrying out the hearing tests annually and update the hearing conservation program yearly.
Participate in job safety analysis for each job with creation and reviewing with applicable employees.
Establish and maintain a first responders first aid program – CPR program.
Supports/assists employee safety activities.
Ensures hazardous items/waste is properly labeled.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in EHS related field and/or experience
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience preferred
First Aid, CPR, OSHA 500 Certification a Plus
