Global Category Manager- Analytical Process Instrumentation
We are seeking a full-time Global Category Manager – Analytical Process Instrumentation. This role will lead all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace for our Analytical Process Instrumentation. This role plays an important part in product planning and execution, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, refining, and communicating the product roadmap, and working closely with our global offices, R&D, sales, and marketing.
Job Responsibilities for a Global Category Manager:
- Develop and facilitate the go to market strategy for new and existing products within Analytical Process Instruments product line.
- Drives communication regarding new product launches for Analytical Process Instruments interdepartmentally and globally.
- Develop customer-centric strategies to achieve category growth, increased market share, sales, and profitability.
- Lead customer & business intelligence and analytics function (i.e. competitive analysis, market intelligence, demand mapping, customer needs, customer profiling, etc.) that inform the overall go to market strategy for Analytical Process Instrumentation.
- Conduct Analytical Process Instrumentation product training to ensure understanding of product and features.
- Monitor progress of product performance and sales over time.
- Proactively identify growth/risk opportunities with customers and communicate findings to sales team.
- Increase, encourage and lead cross functional collaboration of new product launches, feature changes and information between marketing, sales, R&D, engineering, production regarding product launches, timeframes, updates, and issues.
- Assess and evaluate existing portfolio of Analytical Process Instrumentation to identify further market potential.
- Continuously evaluate the competitive landscape and report market changes and findings.
Knowledge & Skills Required for Analytical Process Instrumentation Product Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology or related field preferred.
- 7-10 year’s experience in product management.
- Analytical Process Instrumentation experience required.
- Product portfolio life cycle experience.
- Understanding of business intelligence and analytics tools and methodologies used to identify and assess growth opportunities.
- Experience working globally preferred.
- Customer-facing sales, analytics, or sales-support experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, listening and writing skills.
- Able to work on site
