Job Description:
Scope:
The primary objective is to migrate Qlik dashboards to Tableau.
The role involves assisting with the migration process while establishing a best practice framework. Additionally, you will be responsible for helping the team learn Tableau, providing hands-on support, and taking ownership of 1-2 use cases.
This includes outlining the optimal process for connecting data from Dremio to Tableau, building visualizations, and offering strategic guidance on migration efforts. The role also involves training the team on Tableau and the related processes.
Current Environment: The team currently pulls most of its data from SQL servers. However, they are transitioning from SQL and consolidating databases into Dremio as the central platform. Most of the database migration work is handled internally by the IOPS IT team, as they manage the system. Corporate IT owns Dremio and oversees foundational data warehousing, while IOPS IT acts as a liaison for requests. The IOPS IT team is also responsible for promoting dashboards and migrating code that has been developed.
