Biotech firm seeks an EHS Mgr with a Bio & Chemical Safety/Waste acumen for a Facility Relocation (Brisbane to Richmond)
CONTRACT: 6+ Months
LOCATIONS: Brisbane & Richmond, CA
Must Be U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident or have TN Visa to Qualify
Experience Needed to Qualify:
- COVID Vaccination
- BS Degree in EHS-related field OR equivalent experience
- 5+ years in EHS
- 2+ years of Biotech, Pharma, chemical, OR an industry requitring GMP or GLP knowledge
- Managing hazwaste and biowaste operations
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage hazwaste program: oversight of hazwaste management, coordinate biowaste activities, etc.
- Ensure lab safety: biosafety, chemical safety, ergonomics, and emergency response initiatives
- Monthly inspections, formal & informal audits, daily walk-throughs- lab, MFG, and administrative areas
- Manage LOTO, electrical safety, contractor safety programs, train & onboard/offboard contractors
- Site chemical inventory management
- Incident reporting & investigation: work-related accidents, injuries, near-misses, maintain OSHA log
