Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Manager
Our client, a leading player in the custom play industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer. This position, based in Monett, MO, will oversee quality initiatives across multiple product lines. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality assurance and process improvement, working closely with leadership to drive innovation and elevate production standards. This role will be pivotal in maintaining compliance, leading audits, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Projects You'll Work On:
- Partner with leadership to establish and implement quality goals, analyze critical performance metrics, and drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Spearhead production audits and inspections, identifying key areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts and document findings to ensure long-term resolution.
- Organize and lead cross-functional "improvement teams" to brainstorm and implement quality solutions.
- Develop and monitor customer satisfaction metrics, using these insights to drive ongoing improvements.
- Manage and maintain ISO 9001 certification, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement under the company’s quality/environmental management system.
- Serve as the lead internal auditor for quality and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) audits, creating audit schedules, assisting internal teams, and ensuring effective corrective actions.
- Oversee the brand’s 5S program, conducting audits and driving performance improvements.
- Ensure product quality by conducting “receiving inspections” and “first article inspections” to verify product conformity to specifications.
- Lead the recruitment, training, and management of the Quality Team, ensuring team members achieve departmental and organizational goals.
What Experience You Should Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a deep understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, alongside expertise in operating quality gauges and tools.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities, capable of fostering a collaborative environment that drives improvement.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to teach and mentor others in quality management principles.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating across teams to meet tight deadlines.
