LHH is seeking a skilled Patent Prosecution Paralegal for a firm in Chicago, Milwaukee, or Madison to assist with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution across diverse clients and technologies. Experience with research institutions and tech transfers is a plus but not required. This is a hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate filing of new patent applications.
- Analyze USPTO and foreign counsel correspondence.
- Track deadlines using matter management and docketing systems.
- Prepare client reports and prosecution documents.
- Communicate with USPTO, attorneys, paralegals, liaisons, foreign associates, and clients regarding prosecution matters.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in intellectual property, with a focus on patent prosecution.
- At least 2+ years of law firm experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and expertise in managing extensive patent prosecution dockets.
- Exceptional client service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Salary $70,000 - $95,000 plus benefits
