Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Assistant, located in Richardson, TX. In this role, there is much opportunity for gaining experience and learning about every aspect of HR. We’re searching for an entry-level but resourceful HR Generalist to support our HR Manager in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR Assistant will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities and will help with important functions such as staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits. This candidate will aid our HR Manager in providing consultative services to all levels within the organization by effectively coaching and supporting staff and managers through various situations; interpreting policies and appropriate application, with awareness of impact and liability, and assist in writing Progressive Corrective Actions. - Experience with HR software
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
- Strong phone, email, and in-person communication skills
- Knowledgeable of HR best practices, policies and regulations
- Good communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Advanced leadership and conflict management skills
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization
- Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
Responsibilities for HR Associate
- Organize and maintain personnel records
- Update internal databases
- Prepare and maintain HR documents/company policies
- Liaise with external partners, benefits, payroll, events
- Ensure legal compliance with labor laws in state, federal, and other regulations
- Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics
- Answer employees' queries about HR-related issues
- Assist with payroll by providing relevant employee information
- Participate in HR projects (e.g. help organize a job fair event)
- Review benefits, health, dental, retirement and others
Qualifications for HR Associate
- Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business, or relevant field
- experience working in an HR role is a plus but not required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
- Firm grasp on HR operations and operations best practices
- Bilingual (Fluent in Spanish & English)
