Purchasing Assistant/Analyst Contractor
Location: Austin, TX 78703
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (ONSITE)
Pay: $23 - $25/hr
Duration: 6-months, with the potential to get extended based on business needs and performance
An industry leading Grocer is seeking a Purchasing Assistant/Analyst contractor to join their team. This contractor will work with the Culinary Procurement team to review, cleanse data, create visualizations, and report insights and recommendations.
Job Duties:
· Data cleansing, review data for cost accuracy, monitoring changes, item data analysis, reporting
· Supplier relationships including unwinding current relationships
· Food industry, food product knowledge helpful
· Demand planning, inventory experience helpful
· Advanced Excel required
· Coding in SQL helpful
· Tableau, information extraction
· Experience with Microsoft office products; must have advanced proficiency in Excel and have the ability to create and run complex and dynamic reporting
· Comfort with and ability to learn new reporting and database tools/systems; intermediate level knowledge of database reporting tools, like Tableau
· Experience with programming languages a plus
· Familiarity with procurement and supply chain operations
· Strong attention to detail, and commitment to consistently meeting timelines
· Able to think creatively and solve problems
· Excellent organization and time management skills
· Strong project management background
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas, conclusions and recommendations with clarity
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree preferred
· 1+ year of experience with Procurement and Supply Chain operations preferred
· Advanced Excel with the ability to run dynamic reports
· Strong Data Analytics experience with the ability to create visualizations and automate workflows
· Experience with programming languages a plus
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
