Peak Partners has a client who is a regional law firm looking for a Family Law Associate for their Virginia practice. The ideal candidate will assume immediate responsibility, playing a key role in highly diverse family law and fiduciary matters working with multiple partners.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various family law issues.
- Assist senior attorneys in drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Interview clients to gather relevant information and assist in case strategy development.
- Attend court hearings, mediation sessions, and other legal proceedings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case.
- Participate in all aspects of case development from its inception to conclusion.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop negotiation and litigation strategies.
- Stay updated on changes in family law statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Provide support in client consultations and meetings, offering legal advice and guidance as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the VA state bar (DC and MD a plus) and in good standing.
- Minimum of three years of experience practicing family law, including hands-on experience with divorce, child custody, support, and other family law matters.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Judicial clerkship experience preferred.
