Our client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a mechanical design engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing new products and enhancing existing ones. Leveraging your expertise in mechanical design, technology, materials, and manufacturing processes, you will be responsible for engineering solutions, creating CAD models, prototyping, and conducting rigorous testing. What you will do:
- Review customer specifications to identify engineering requirements, including accessorier
- Prepare mechanical designs using 3D CAD software
- Create general arrangement drawings for customer review
- Engage in design reviews and technical discussions with customers to explain and resolve technical matter
- Perform structural and industrial ventilation calculations
- Generate bill of materials (BOMs) and bill of routine
- Produce manufacturing technical drawings for production
- Research and develop solutions for improving current product lines
- Specify system components or direct product modifications
- Ensure designs adhere to engineering standards and agreed-upon specifications
- Provide manufacturing support and assistance for product and prototype builds
- Assist with machinery assembly when necessary
- Offer design and technical guidance to other engineering team members
- Foster a workplace environment that aligns with our company's values, culture, and goals
- Collaborate effectively with safety, quality, and leadership teams
- Utilize the Plan-Do-Check-Act model to drive organizational objectives
Additional Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required (Mechanical or Electrical or Automation Engineering preferred
- 3+ years of experience in LEAN manufacturing is preferred
- Experience working with Complex Equipment
Systems and Process to Know:
- Structural Design (Material Selection, Metallurgical and Mechanical Properties of Materials, Assembly Methods, Door Design, Sealing / Gasket Design, etc.
- Design for X (Manufacturability, Quality, Cost, Service, etc.
- Fluid Control (Water Filtration, Steam Generation, Humidity Control
- Component Selection and Sizing (Motors, Gears, Belts, Fan Curve, etc.
