Vaco Dallas is seeking qualified candidates for a Microsoft Cybersecurity Analyst for a Dallas-based client, with a national footprint. The Microsoft Cybersecurity Analyst will work in tandem with a third-party team that handles O365 onboarding and day-to-day administrative tasks, yet this person must have expertise in O365 to identify and mitigate potential risks within the Microsoft tenant. The resource will support and address any security concerns or issues related to the O365 environment, in addition to collaborating with other internal IT teams. Candidates must be local to the Dallas, TX market, and willing/able to work onsite 3-days per week. Candidates must also be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Job Scope Summary:
The Microsoft Cybersecurity Analyst will work in tandem with a third-party team that handles onboarding and day-to-day administrative tasks, focusing on identifying and mitigating potential risks within the O365 Microsoft tenant.
- Support and address any security concerns or issues related to the O365 environment
- Collaborate with other internal IT teams in the areas of network, system, and application security
- Ensure that systems/networks are designed, developed, deployed, and managed with an emphasis on strong, effective security and risk management controls
- Monitor security controls and detection systems, and analyze and respond to cyber threats
- Provide support and resolution to incident management and response efforts
- Proactively monitor the environment to detect anomalies and mitigate cyber attacks
- Create documentation and artifacts to support cybersecurity efforts across the organization
- Work with stakeholders to educate and communicate on cybersecurity threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments of firm systems and networks - preferred experience with Tenable
- Oversee and direct all white phishing programs
- Assess new and emerging information security / cybersecurity tools and products to be implemented within the organization
Must-Have Skills Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Security / Cybersecurity, or related field, and/or equivalent education and professional experience
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Information Security / Cybersecurity of Microsoft-stack environments
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated proficiency with administering and supporting Office 365 (O365) enterprise-level environments, to include:
- Azure - preferably supporting both on-prem and cloud hosted environments
- Active Directory / Azure AD
- SQL
- Windows server
- Desktop operating systems
- Windows PowerShell
- A strong technical foundation dealing with supporting infrastructure technologies, to include:
- Networking: routers/switches/firewalls/wireless access points, VPN,
- Servers
- Applications and database security
- Articulate communication skills, to include interfacing with senior/executive leadership on information security / cybersecurity posture for the organization
- Prior experience implementing/enforcing security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, and ITARS
- Proficiency working with email management platforms to protect and manage email communications - preferably with Mimecast
- Proficiency with identity and access security solutions to protect companies against cyber threats, preferably with Beyond Trust
- Proficiency working with end-user training systems to educate end-users on cybersecurity and threat awareness, preferably with KnowBe4
- Proficiency working with Network Performance Monitoring tools, such as SolarWinds or Wireshark
