With this, we are seeking an Operations Manager to sit within a crucial plant, serving numerous well-known brands. They will oversee operations at a crucial location and implement a culture of efficient production and quality, while fostering a safe and energetic workplace culture. The implementation of Lean in this process is a vital part of the cultural vision and movement.
This professional will need to be a hands on and strategic leader, well experienced with a Lean manufacturing processes in a food manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead our Production team in developing continuous improvements in product quality and efficiency.
- Lead data supported strategies to drive raw yield and eliminate inefficiencies in the system.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing and delivering world class quality and reliability utilizing Lean manufacturing.
- Be a critical member of our leadership team in directing our overall business growth and development for both short- and long-term success.
Requirements and Skills
- 5 years minimum of experience in food manufacturing.
- A Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma
- Proven work experience in continuous improvement within manufacturing.
- Proven managerial and leadership experience.
- Adequate knowledge of tracking and KPI measurement.
- Familiarity with food industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes.
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
