- Experience configuring and imaging computers
- Ability to troubleshoot and install workstation accessories (monitors, keyboards, etc.)
- Basic hardware repair skills - most equipment is under warranty so they don’t do much repair themselves
- Basic networking skills

Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking strong Service Desk Specialist to join one of our large manufacturing clients in the Lexington/Jackson TN area. This individual will be a part of the tier II team, receiving triaged tickets from the virtual tier I support. They will be working onsite providing support to employees who work at facility. The Service Desk Specialist responsibilities include installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware, related equipment and software while ensuring optimal workstation performance. This position ensures the integrity and reliability of the client computing environment and provides first and second level support in all technology related issues. Other daily tasks and responsibilities include the following:
- Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal in the Service Desk system.
- Monitor desktops for patching and anti-virus compliancy.
- Maintain the Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) within the Service Desk system ensuring accurate IT inventory documentation.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
