Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. This role will function akin to a program manager, overseeing a portfolio of projects planned over the next three years. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, including department heads and executives, to prioritize and manage these projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Engagement (50-60%): Build and maintain strong relationships with project leaders. Collaborate with accounting, sales, marketing, and finance teams to map out long-term priorities, identify upcoming projects, understand pressure points, and address process gaps.
- Active Project Management (30%): Manage active projects, including running RFPs (Request for Proposals), addressing pressure points, and identifying gaps. Ensure deadlines are met, and all team members are trained and prepared for project execution. Typically, this role will involve managing 1-2 RFPs annually, gathering requirements, evaluating tools, and managing timelines and costs.
- Business Support (10%): Provide support for business operations, addressing tweaks and adjustments as needed. Assist internal stakeholders in identifying and capturing requirements for tools or software solutions, working with the systems team to evaluate and implement top applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the organization's applications, their structure, and user interactions.
- Provide support and guidance to junior technical team members, assisting with system building, deployment, configuration, and support.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to define plans for standardizing, scaling, and enhancing systems and services for software deployment and release.
- Deliver high-quality services, products, and support on time and within budget, aligned with organizational values and mission.
- Keep leadership informed about the status of all objectives, including any problems, concerns, and strategies for resolution.
- Build and maintain trusting, ethical, and influential relationships within the organization.
- Exhibit strong planning and organizational skills individually and within the business technology group.
- Actively participate and contribute in corporate meetings, staying informed about market and industry trends related to emerging technologies.
- Participate in special projects and handle other assigned duties as required.
Must Haves:
- Strong experience with SQL
- Comfortable in stakeholder-management conversations
- Any exposure to ERP systems is a plus
- 0-5+ YOE; we are open to entry-level candidates for this role
