Job Description
We are searching for a full-time Forensic Engineer, PE (Civil/Structural) based in North Carolina area. The candidate may also service clients in other states, particularly in the surrounding states.

Job Responsibilities
- Prior forensic engineering experience is not required as company provides on-the-job training.
- Perform forensic (investigative) evaluations residential, commercial, and industrial buildings for including (but may not be limited to) storm related damage to roofing and exterior claddings, moisture intrusion, impact damage (tree, vehicle, etc.), foundation settlement, construction defects, etc.
- Prepare precise and unbiased written reports of findings for your site investigations based on field inspections and research consistent with the company’s standards and guidelines.
- Prior report writing skills are a plus.
- Consistently and effectively communicate with clients, the engineering team, and the home office on daily work.
- Must be customer service and team oriented, with professional and timely communication with company clients for assigned projects.
- Must be flexible with scheduling, daily work, and quality control.
- Consistently meet all of the required company expectations and deadlines, particularly during times of heavy workload.
- Provide depositions and expert testimony, if necessary, on assigned work.
- Additional duties assignment by management.
- Must be willing to work additional hours during period of peak business demand as deemed necessary.
- Must be proactive, a self-starter, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to accurately type 30 wpm and be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word.
- Proficient writing skills using proper English spelling and grammar.
- Must be able to park a company vehicle at your residence.
- Be willing to learn and adapt to inevitable company policy and procedural changes.
Education and Licensing Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering or engineering related discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, etc.)
- Possess and maintain an active professional engineer (PE) license in the state of employment or the ability to become licensed within two months.
- An NCEES Record is preferred.
- Have a valid driver’s license without travel time restrictions and the ability to be insured by the company to use the company vehicles.
