Job Summary:
The Applied AI Engineer plays a pivotal role in harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to enhance various business functions. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing AI models to optimize operations, improve decision-making, and drive innovation. By integrating AI technologies, the Applied AI Engineer will contribute to projects that streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer experiences. In a rapidly evolving technological landscape, this position is essential for NRG to continuously innovate and maintain a competitive edge.
Must Have
- LLM - Clearly articulate experience working in Azure OpenAI & must be able to explain Llama2 a bit.
- Embedding experience
- Scenario - Leave Management System.
- Function calling - Familiarity with Gen AI alternative solutions.
- Assistant API
- Multi-agent.
- Langchain
- Vector DB - Explain experience in Pinecone clearly.
Responsibilities:
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement AI models, algorithms, and systems to meet business needs.
- Prototype AI solutions based on the latest AI technologies.
- Develop, test, and refine prompts for AI solutions.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to align prompts with company goals and business needs.
- Analyze AI performance and make processes and updates for performance improvement.
- Deploy AI models and solutions in production environments, ensuring their robustness and scalability.
- Maintain AI models and systems, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Working Conditions:
- Open office environment.
- Working in the Houston office 3 days a week is required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or 3-5 years of equivalent programming experience.
- Deep understanding of Generative AI technologies and trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python, Java, C/C++/ C#, or other relevant programming languages.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Ability to code, debug, and deploy AI solutions with strong software engineering best practices.
