We are seeking Maintenance Engineer Interns to join our team at Hanwha Advanced Materials. This is a paid internship where you can work alongside experienced technicians and engineers to gain hands on experience in troubleshooting and performing maintenance on manufacturing equipment while understanding and adhering to safe work practices. The program will last one semester with the potential for additional semesters. The ultimate goal is to prepare students for full time employment with Hanwha Advanced Materials as a Maintenance Engineer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Maintenance Engineers to learn and further develop knowledge and skills in the field of Industrial Maintenance.
- Participate in the troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing equipment in compliance with all plant policies and procedures.
- Work with machinery and mechanical equipment including motors, pneumatic & hydraulic components, conveyor systems, and production line equipment.
- Read diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications for installations.
- Use hand tools, power tools and precision-measuring devices and testing instruments.
- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- Winter semester internship: December 2024- February 2025(flexible dates) with potential for additional semesters and goal of full time employment
- Paid full-time position during the span of the internship
- Monday-Friday, core work hours 1st shift
Required Qualifications
- Able to commute to the Georgetown, TX office location
- Completion of Junior year in college
- Graduated or currently enrolled in relevant majors such as Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, etc.
- Authorized to work in United States
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and deliver quality work within defined timelines.
- Bilingual in Korean/English a plus
