Job Title: Associate Attorney (Trusts & Estates Department)
Job Overview: A well-established law firm is currently seeking an Associate Attorney for our Trusts & Estates Department. The successful candidate will be highly skilled and experienced in estate planning, gift and estate tax return preparation, probate matters, and trust administration. Responsibilities:
- Conduct and manage estate planning matters, trust administration and probate matters.
- Prepare and analyze estate and gift tax returns.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current and emerging issues related to the estate, gift tax and trust laws.
- Provide high-quality customer service and legal advice to acclimate with client concerns and objectives.
- Collaborate with legal team members, assisting senior attorneys in case preparation and documentation.
- Regularly attend court hearings, trials, and corporate meetings.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 2-6 years of experience in estate planning, probate matters, trust administration, and gift and estate tax return preparation.
- Active Missouri Law License.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to continue learning and improving skills in estate planning and related matters.
