What You Will Be Doing:
The General Manager will play a crucial role in spearheading our expansion efforts, overseeing all aspects of our HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services, ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, hiring, performance management, and superior customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the service industry. The General Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives, including P&L responsibility and driving market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services in the Austin metro area to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
Warehouse and Inventory Management: Ensure efficient warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain coordination to meet service demands.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers and technicians. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement. Participate in the full execution of hiring, training, and onboarding.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners. Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring high-quality service delivery and promptly addressing any issues or concerns.
P&L Accountability: Manage the profit and loss for the branch location, ensuring financial targets are met and exceeded. Drive financial performance through strategic initiatives.
Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our services and market presence in the Austin area.
Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present reports on operational performance, financials, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Business Administration, Management, or related field, or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role within the service industry, preferably in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing. Previous branch manager experience is highly desirable.
Growth Leadership: Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a business unit.
Communication: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Ability to analyze financial data and make informed business decisions.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in using business management software and tools. Experience with Service Fusion software is a plus.
Industry Subject Matter Expert: Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services.
