Position Title: Product Owner

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner who is passionate about data, with a strong background in data analytics and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) principles. This role is pivotal in driving AI/ML initiatives, shaping product features, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Position Overview:
As a Product Owner at Genmab, you will be responsible for the roadmap and execution to carry out the vision for the assigned program(s), starting initially within our enterprise GenAI team. The Product Owner is a member of an Agile team responsible for defining user stories and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities, while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components the team is responsible for. In addition, the ability to build relationships, influence and be a driver of execution in a fast-paced environment is critical to this role.
The candidate must be solution-oriented, operationally savvy, creative, highly organized, flexible, and adept at working with multiple matrix teams, including external vendors. The position is based in Princeton, NJ.
Responsibilities
Product Ownership and Agile Project Management:
Own the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic vision.
Define and prioritize features for AI/ML-driven products based on market needs and business goals. Sequences the Backlog according to business value or ROI.
Conveys the Vision and Goals at the beginning of every Release and Sprint. Assists with the elaboration of Epics, Themes and Features into user stories that are granular enough to be achieved in a single sprint.
Represents the user, interfaces and engages the users.
Collaborating with a Scrum team on new Feature development, requests including building and maintaining a Product backlog, contributing to/reviewing/approving user stories, sprint support, and UAT testing.
Leads and participates in the daily Scrums, Sprint Planning Meetings, Release Planning, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
Inspects the product progress at the end of every Sprint and has complete authority to accept or reject work done. If necessary, assess and change the course of the project at the end of every Sprint as needed.
Primary point person internally and externally for the team for updates and feedback.
Establish annual goals, objectives and outcomes for product(s); Track and monitor key performance indicators.
Provides critical leadership to drive the scrum team(s)
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to gather input and feedback.
Maintains relationships with the business and the client to understand the current and changing needs.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure their needs are incorporated into the product roadmap.
Actively involved in change management activities.
Data Analytics, AI/ML, and Technology Proficiency:
Utilizes data analytics and statistical knowledge to guide product decisions and improvements.
Possess understanding of technologies in the AI/ML space, including Gen AI, Azure AI, Python, and other relevant tools and frameworks.
Stay updated on emerging technologies in the AI/ML field and assess their potential impact on the product.
Knowledge and experience with Confluence, JIRA, AWS, Azure DevOps. Experience in administering the aforementioned applications a plus.
Quality Assurance:
Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure product features meet high standards of quality and performance.
Participate in user acceptance testing and ensure product meets user expectations.
Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
Minimum 3-4 years’ experience as a Product Owner, or a Technology practice. Preferably in a regulated industry.
Demonstrated experience implementing and executing Agile principles with strong technical skills.
Advanced with Microsoft Office applications and a strong working knowledge of Agile and SDLC methodologies.
Completed training or certification in Agile.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; high quality of work that adheres to all standards, regulatory and audit requirements. Working knowledge of the regulatory environment.
Strong consultative and well-articulated communication and writing skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization.
Naturally curious, detail oriented, with strong analytic, and research skills.
For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$95,625.00---$159,375.00The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
