Job Title: Control Systems Analyst
Contract: 6 Month Contract-to-Hire
Location: 100% Onsite in Austin, TX
Job Summary: Our Facility Solutions Client is seeking a dedicated Control Systems Analyst to join their support team within the Lighting Division. This role is crucial in providing the next tier of support for escalated customer issues from the call center. The ideal candidate will handle 10-15 tickets daily, ensuring timely and effective resolution of control systems-related problems. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
Responsibilities:
- Handle 10-15 escalated support tickets daily from the call center.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with control systems, providing timely resolutions.
- Monitor and maintain control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform regular system updates and software upgrades.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to resolve complex issues.
- Document and report on system performance, activities, and incidents.
- Provide training and support to call center staff on control systems operations and troubleshooting.
- Follow industry standards and safety regulations while performing duties.
- Recommend modifications or improvements for control systems to enhance performance.
- Assist in the development of support-level tools.
- Integrate stations to the IOT platform when assigned.
- Read and understand scripts for station updates and adjustments when assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or a related field.
- 0-1 years experience as a Control Systems Technician or similar role.
- Understanding of electronic components
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or Google equivalent
- Understanding of commercial HVAC and lighting systems
- Ability to read engineering and as-built drawings
- Experience with creating engineering drawings and schematics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial control systems, automation, or process control.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
- Experience in a customer support or call center environment.
- Understanding of Bajascript, HTML, CSS, Viscosity, Python, and shell
- Understanding of LoRa, Wi-Fi, and other wireless protocols
- Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and other common BAS protocols.
- Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or other common BAS communication protocols.
