Senior Vendor Manager - Healthcare Revenue Cycle

Pay: $100,000 - $120,000 DOE

The healthcare revenue cycle senior vendor manager is responsible for driving the daily operational activities to ensure optimal end-to-end revenue cycle performance for our clients. This role includes developing and maintaining successful relationships with our vendor network of specialized agencies, establishing and measuring required performance levels from vendor onboarding throughout the entire relationship, and ensuring open and effective communication between all parties. Direct accountability includes working with both internal and external customers to create efficient process workflows with production teams, developing account resolution strategies, and monitoring key performance indicators to deliver targeted performance outcomes.
Key responsibilities of the senior vendor manager include overseeing all aspects of external collection agency relationships ensuring all vendors meet performance and compliance standards in alignment with the company's strategic goals. The role involves vendor sourcing, contract management, performance evaluation, compliance oversight, effective internal and external communication, and continuous monitoring to optimize vendor-company collaboration and risk mitigation.
Primary Job Duties:
· Directs and oversees the activities of assigned vendors, as designated by internal operational leadership, by analyzing and managing vendor performance based on established metrics.
· Develop, maintain, and facilitate positive and collaborative working relationships with vendors.
· Develops efficient processes and documentation to ensure production staff assignments, duties and training are appropriate.
· Delivers insightful and meaningful feedback to leadership with focus on opportunities for revenue cycle improvement.
· Builds trusting relationships with internal and external customers by providing confident leadership and timely communication.
· Develop actionable roadmaps for improving workflows processes and performance.
· Mentors and provides staff with day-to-day guidance and assistance.
· Identifies and sources key vendor partnerships that help increase overall performance and liquidation. Including but not limited to insurance billing, denial management, self-pay, and collections.
· Maintains knowledge of industry payer billing and appeal policies.
· Participates as subject matter expertise in decision-making process with system integrations and revenue cycle change management activities.
· Perform any additional duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
· 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management and strategic vendor management.
· 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (exceptional communication, interpersonal, listening, coaching, facilitation and conflict resolutions skills)
· Strong computer skills including using Microsoft products like Excel, word, PowerPoint, outlook, one drive.
· Creative, strategic, and analytical thinking abilities.
· Contract negotiation and vendor evaluation.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
· Strong ethical principles and Conflict Management and issue resolution skills.
· Background in healthcare finance or related field preferred.
· Knowledgeable in collection regulations including but not limited to FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA, and Regulation F.
